Environmental Education Program
Environmental stewardship is a driving principle at Port Blakely Tree Farms. In keeping with that spirit, we created our Environmental Education Program
in 1991.
As of August, 2007, the program has helped 34,161 students of all ages understand and appreciate the concept of managed forests and responsible land stewardship. Through a combination of classroom study and field trips, students learn about sustainable forestry, forest ecology, and how we meet consumer demand for wood while protecting the environment.
Click the Environmental Education Headquarters (HQ) button below for an interactive journey
through the forest including lots of fun and games, as
well as interesting information on forests and wetlands!
There are also sample activities for the
classroom, cool web links, suggested reading material,
student artwork, and information about tours. Enjoy!

If you experience problems with the Headquarter site, please
view the HQ site
