Kelly Stanley

Environmental Education Coordinator, Port Blakely Tree Farms

For almost 20 years, Kelly Stanley has helped educate students, teachers and parents about forests and forestry as Port Blakely Tree Farms’ Environmental Education Coordinator. Since the program’s inception in 1991, Kelly has grown the free forestry education program in Washington to accommodate every school district within driving range. Under Kelly’s leadership, the program expanded to northwest Oregon in 2001.

The program’s success is attributed to Kelly’s commitment to, and passion for, environmental education. She believes that every child deserves the opportunity to experience forests firsthand, and works hard to make that a reality for every student in the region. Her natural ability to connect with kids allows her to guide learning through fun, hands-on activities, both in the classroom and in the forest—rain or shine.

Kelly holds and associate degree in forestry from Green River College and a bachelor of science degree from The Evergreen State College.

Kelly resides in Centralia, Washington, and enjoys spending time with her family, playing tennis and reading.
