Kathy Burnaman
Vice President of Project Development, Port Blakely Communities
Kathy Burnaman is Vice President of Project Development for Port Blakely Communities and is responsible for directing the company’s efforts on project design, cost estimating, feasibility, entitlements, and construction of land and vertical construction projects for Issaquah Highlands. Kathy is a key member of the company’s strategic planning team, and works closely with the jurisdictional agencies that lay the groundwork for partnership opportunities at Issaquah Highlands and additional potential projects.

Kathy is a key member of the company’s strategic planning team, and works closely with the jurisdictional agencies that lay the groundwork for partnership opportunities at Issaquah Highlands and additional potential projects.
Kathy, who joined Port Blakely Communities in 2003 as director of land development, has more than 15 years experience in the construction and property management industries. Prior to joining the company, she served as project manager of engineering and construction operations for Kristen Betty and Associates in Issaquah Highlands, and held a similar position with Olympic Associates in Issaquah Highlands.
Kathy is an active member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties and serves on the organization’s property tour committee. She is a member of the Urban Land Institute’s workforce housing and transit-oriented housing initiatives and a member of Commercial Real Estate for Women.
In addition to her industry involvement, Burnaman is an active community volunteer who has worked as a part-paid firefighter and active emergency medical technician in Washington State.
Kathy has a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Phoenix. She grew up in Texas, where she assisted her father, a general contractor, in building underground houses.
