Philosophy
At Port Blakely Communities, we take a long-term view in all that we do. In one sense, that means creating a plan that includes amenities, services, and commercial opportunities that will grow as the community matures to meet people's needs.
In another sense, taking a long-term view means adopting a perspective of what is best for the land, the society, and the company over the long term. In many cases, that means making a significant investment in the short term to achieve better results in the long run.
It is a form of sustainability. A term more often used in relation to forestry, sustainability is at the core of what we do: sustaining our individual communities, our society, our environment, sustaining the old-fashioned sense of community, and sustaining our company, as well.
Our communities are being built to last for many generations. We want them to reflect well on our company, our people, and our community, and to that end we insist on high structural quality and enduring designs.
