History

In the early 1990s, Port Blakely Tree Farms bought the Glacier Park Company's residential real estate portfolio in King County, Washington. As a result of this transaction, Port Blakely Tree Farms formed its real estate subsidiary, Port Blakely Communities, Inc.

Since its inception, Port Blakely Communities has created some of the most distinctive and innovative mixed-use communities in the Pacific Northwest.

The Company's inaugural effort is the award-winning Issaquah Highlands community, a 3,250 home urban village that will ultimately become a city unto itself. Its innovative design, smart growth philosophy, and cutting-edge environmental safeguards make Issaquah Highlands the standard for others to follow.
